Mazak machine tools with Mazatrol controls are known for their longevity — but their CRT displays eventually fail. This guide covers LCD replacement for common Mazak CRT models including CD1472, MDT1283B, DR5614, and AIQA8DSP40.

Mazak-Specific Considerations
Mazak Mazatrol controls use a 20-pin connector interface similar to other Japanese CNC brands. All our Mazak LCD replacements are designed for direct drop-in compatibility — same connector, same mounting dimensions, same video signal timing.
Note: Some Mazak machines have the CRT integrated into the control console rather than mounted separately. Our LCD modules match the original CRT form factor and mounting hole positions.
Installation
- Power off the machine and disconnect main power
- Remove the CRT by unscrewing the mounting frame (typically 4-6 screws)
- Disconnect the 20-pin video cable and 24V DC power cable
- Mount the LCD module using the original screw holes
- Connect the cables and power on
Time: 10-15 minutes. Tools: Phillips screwdriver.
