Common HAAS 28HM NM4 CRT Display Failures

The HAAS 28HM NM4 is a CRT display found on HAAS VF-series CNC machines, 12-inch monochrome.

  • Blank screen — HAAS monochrome CRT flyback failure. The machine powers up but the screen is dark.
  • Dim / hard to read — CRT phosphor degradation. Common on older VF-series machines.
  • Flickering or collapsed image — Capacitor failure in the deflection circuit.
  • Burn-in — Permanent ghost image from years of displaying the same tool position screen.

CRT hardware failures only. The HAAS control is typically functional — our LCD restores display without modifications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work with HAAS VF-1 through VF-6?

Yes. The 28HM-NM4 CRT was used across VF-1 through VF-6 series machines. Our LCD replaces it in all of them.

Does this also fit 93-5220C or 93-5220?

Yes. These are alternate part numbers for the same HAAS CRT.
