Q: Do I need a signal converter for my CNC LCD upgrade?
A: It depends on your specific CRT model. Many of our direct replacement LCD modules include the signal conversion circuitry built-in. You only need an external converter if you are using a generic LCD monitor or a replacement module that does not include signal conversion.
Q: What is the difference between RGB and TTL signals?
A: RGB is analog — each color channel has a continuously variable voltage that determines brightness. TTL is digital — each color channel is either on or off (5V or 0V). Monochrome CRTs typically use TTL, while color CRTs use RGB analog.
Q: Do these converters require configuration?
